Eternal Sonata game screens. Funny names follow.
Wednesday 14 March 2007 @ 9:23 pm | By Abraham 'Velcor' Duarte 5 CommentsAlthough this game is planned to be released only on the Xbox360 (for now I hope. . .) here are some screenshots from the game Eternal Sonata. What’s so special about the game that made you post pictures of it here, Velcor? Well some reasons are:
1- It’s made by Tri-Crescendo, the team that brought us the Baten Kaitos saga. . .which is awesome. Period.
2- It has REAL Classical music in it.
3- Has an awesome plot.
4- . . . Beat? Polka? Are those names?! Who the hell considers to name his daughter Polka? I can’t understand Romantics.
Here’s the plot. You’re the famous Romantic composer Frédéric Chopin who, hours before his death (tuberculosis), he travels into a dream world where, as a matter of fact, people with terminal diseases have powers. As an interesting feature, original compositions from Chopin will be played by pianist Stanislav Bunin, so expect to weep, feel fuzzy inside, and to get into that windy mountain called life (or in my case, expect to scratch your head furiously as certain of Chopin’s melodies play, wanting it to stop).
If you’re a Baten Kaitos / RPG freak (and have some extra bucks to spare) get a 360 and this game, I doubt you’ll regret it.

The second this game comes out, I’ll be all over it like skank on Paris Hilton. I love RPGs, but nothing since FFX has really struck my fancy. *sigh*, I guess I’ll just replay Lunar, SSSC again until Eternal Sonata (Trusty Bell was an awesome name…) comes out.
Probably my most anticipated rpg on the 360. Even more-so then Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey (in all honesty, i’m not that hyped for either of those 2)
The only one that comes close is Mass Effect, but that’s for my american rpg fix :p
Eh, depending on how popular the consoles work out, they might port it onto the other consoles but later on in the year. After all, just look at Tales of Symphonia. First it was an exclusive on the GC, now it’s available on the PS2. Who knows, we might just get lucky.
[...] If dead composers make for famous music then hallucinating dying composers make for great games. The trailer for Eternal Sonata, or Trusty Bell in Japan, is out and frankly I’m very impressed. [...]
Baten Kaitos was really memorable but this looks a little less serious
