The trailer for the english dub of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I’m kind of surprised they kept the original pronunciation of Simon’s name, and Kamina’ voice feels kind of eh, but not bad!

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann will air in America on the Sci-Fi channel on Monday, July 28, at 11:00 AM.

   I thought it wasn’t “Believe in me, who believes in you” but instead “Believe in you, who believes in yourself”? Anywhoo, the voices aren’t too bad, though I hope they get a little less dull in the exciting scenes.

   Colour me impressed. Having always been a fan of dubs (i appreciate the work some of these companies put into them), i plan on picking up this entire series once it’s released.

   Here’s hoping they start jumping on the blu-ray bandwagon, and release these in hi-def! this series would look glorious!

   As usual, they kinda screwed the voices up. However, I’ll probably still watch it. I’ve been watching subs for a while, and this will just be easier than torrenting all of them.

   Actually i don’t think the VA’s are that bad. I mean of course is not going to match up to the japanese vergion but hey. And when he first says it, its Believe in me who believes in you but n episode 9 or somethign like that he changes it to “believe in yourself. Not me who believes in you, Not you who believes in me. Believe in you, who believes in yourself”

   I just started watching the subs version. For me the verdict is still out, but from what I’ve seen I think it’s pretty good. Being able to see it on a TV vs my computer is a nice upgrade in viewing experience.
