Economy Got You Down? Butlers Cafe Seeking Waitstaff
Tuesday 5 May 2009 @ 10:00 am | By Sol 3 Comments
Every now and then, we all need a little attention. If you’re “polite, friendly and good-looking foreign male” who is interested in relocating to Japan, consider being a butler. Help Japanese women escape the hustle of one of Tokyo’s most crowded areas, Shibuya. Woo them with pillow talk as they gazing longley into your crazy eyes; no wait experience needed.
Think you have what is takes? After the break you’ll find the job posting from Craigslist JP, and some interviews of what it’s like to work in a host club. Ladies, sadly the only way you’d be able to work in one of these clubs is to pull a Haruhi Fujioka a la Ouran Host Club. In my home city, as I’m sure across the U.S., there is a growing trend of “sexy” related services for men such as coffee shops and hair cuts; absent are ones catering to women. Clearly there are some cultural differences, but I think female patrons of a butler club in America would be stigmatize. That’s too bad for me, I think I’d be a terrific host!

This is far more entertaining if you replace every instance of the word “Butlers” with “Butters” of South Park fame.
It’d be far more interesting if the job offer took place in America T^T
If only…
