Dragonball Evolution 2 Is Already Written

So Dragonball Evolution came out, and as horrible as the movie was, it could have been much much worse. We survived and now there’s only about a dozen more anime movies in the making to go through, right? Wrong, it doesn’t end here! With Dragonball Evolution having been a moderate success worldwide and the movie already turning profits, the Hollywood tycoons aren’t going to give up. That’s right, there’s a sequel, and its already written.
When talking to MTV news, Justin Chatwin revealed that a sequel for the movie has already been written and its only awaiting a green light depending on the success of the Evolution. Furthermore Spike the Vampire… I mean Piccolo himself, James Masters, has stated that:
“We’re going to get to ‘Dragonball Z’ later, where Piccolo becomes youthful and he’s going to become the Piccolo that most people recognize.”
So are we looking at a second part based on Dragonball Z’s first act? Will we get to see Vegeta and Napa? Will its profit level be over 9000?!

And i agree wit you dude. the smallvill dude would match. they jus need better actors because thts wat makes a movie is good acting and and good script. and ill say it again though they need to leav off where this movie ended and jump into wen goku kicked piccolos at the world tounament because if they redo im sure itll get worse and they cant jump right into dbz because it leaves unanswered stuff. they also need it to be longer and not jump to scenes too fast thts always a downfall in these kinda movies.
Are you talking about Tom Welling from smallville to play Raditz, because I am. Think about it, Nappa played by Golderg, and Vegeta, the only person I can think of to fit the character perfectly would be Jet li, unless there’s an unknown actor perfect for this role.
Yah globerg does fit nappa well but for vegeta it would be tough there hardly anyone who’d fit the description
IMO Jason Stratham would play a perfect vegeta, but having said that it really agitates me that they are making another movie. The only reason it did so well is because all the DBZ fans wanted to see it in live action. I hope that this movie does a lot worse and they stop making them. For a movie based on Dragon Ball why would they not get a child to play Goku? There is honestly no excuse for the stupidity of the people making these movies. The actors share almost no resemblance to their characters.
in 1 of the db episodes goku says hes 14 and bulma says shes is 16. doesn’t look like it though, but the proof is in one of the episodes. in the movie goku’s going to high school, so it wouldn’t look right if a shrimp was in high school. Otherwise Id agree. on top of that there are always going to be some kind of changes in situations like this whether u or anyone likes it or not. but again otherwise i understand where ur coming from. i’d have to agree with Jason Statham playing Vegeta. he could definitely pull of Vegeta’s attitude compared to pretty much all of his movies i’ve seen. 1 last thing.
how is jason statham going to look with vegeta’s hair and how could vegeta possibly be in the next db movie when vegeta only shows up in dbz. other than that, he would be just perfect. I don’t know anything about DBZ and enjoyed most of the movie. Some of it could have been better but what movie can you actually label as perfect? If you didn’t like it stop wasting your time complaining about it to people who don’t care. Forget what you know about DBZ all together and just sit back and enjoy the movie.

ok, aside from the jumping and skipping between scenes, plot, and location, the first movie wasn’t too bad. actually, after watching it, i felt like watching the original cuz i was in the mood. it’s been years since the original DBZ with the first appearance of vegeta, which was EPIC for me. to be even more honest, i wouldn’t mind seeing a second one, and would be very excited to see what characters will be in this one, and who plays them. I wouldn’t be suprized to see stone cold play as nappa, and Gerard Butler as Vegeta. to all the haters complaining, the saying goes, “don’t knock it, ’till you try it.” if all you can do is sit in your basement and complain while mommy makes your hot pockets and pizza rolls, just shut off your computer, or go back to playing runescape. if this movie does come out, like i hope it will, i will watch it, regardless of how well it was made, because i am a fan of the Dragonball series regardless.

I am a HUGE fan of DB all the way through GT, but the live action movie Evolution was horrible. The kid who played Goku was horrible and it took place when he was in high school? When did Goku in the show EVER go to high school???? So ridiculous. And the movie was so fast paced, and the special effects sucked and the fighting scenes looked so fake. It was an embarrassment to the anime. I doubt the 2nd one will be any better since the first one ruined it. And of course they’d have to follow it up after the first Evolution.
Off topic I think the only live action movie made after an anime I’m looking forward to is Cowboy Bebop, but which I hope to god they don’t use Keanue Reeves or however you spell his name as Spike. I like him as a decent actor but he wouldn’t fit the part.
And I agree Steve Austin would make a good Nappa. It would be hard for anyone to fit the description of any of the sayains because who do you know who has huge spikey hair? Someone would have to grow their hair out for many years and do some serious time putting tons of gel in their hair lol. I just saw Dragonball Evo, and can imagine why a layman would see it as a entertaining movie. I must be honest that the movie itself was entertaining, special effect wise (far too summarily and sometimes down dreadful), being an A to B film (don’t think just watch. However, as you can see in between braces, I thought that the movie differed far too much of the original strip and animation series. I can imagine that copying an exact animation is hard to do, maybe even impossible (see the film Avatar: Last air bender, more or less same there). Nevertheless, this is too much!

I Agree with quite some here on the forum, putting several stories in one to show all. It makes the movie jumpy and with none… I repeat NONE form of depth. Bulma and Yamcha make out… Yeah out of nothing. Goku who turns in a medium awkward gorilla, without a good fight between Rossie and him on the martial arts tournament, Damn said.
Costume design and background…what to say. Let’s say they didn’t finish the trail costumes and started anyway with filming. What when all the other characters are introduced… Frieza has no tail than, Tien no third eye. And where are all the other characters such as Puar., never heard of computer animated software?! Should I go on..?!
Back to the beginning.
Sometimes I read…they should go back to the beginning start all over. While…THEY shouldn’t. Someone else should. Just what they did with batman begins. Starting fresh, with new dedication. Young Goku, trained by Rossi and better and more distinct characters, which are more in line with the strip or animation series.
That would be my call!
I’m sorry if my comment has upset any of you, but just look at it this way. People who were die hard fans of DBZ was so excited that it was being brought to live action. But the way they portrayed Goku as some teenager who wasn’t anything like the Goku we all knew and love. They showed him as someone from high school and the fighting scenes were not even on the level of the anime. Come on, it may be real actors but with all the special technology we have these days and special effects we see in all movies, you can’t tell me they could’ve made it to look more like DBZ the anime at least better than they did. I have seen many more movies with better special effects and fighting scenes that were very cool, and a lot better than this movie.. that is why a lot of fans were disappointed.. I’m sorry I have my opinion, but if you asked me I turned the movie on to be EXCITED, and by half way through I seriously thought this movie was made nothing but with CHEESE.
Like I said, I REALLY hope the 2nd one will be much better and follow the storyline of the anime better. I know they can do it! But idk, they just seemed to not really try. I agree wit ya special effects these days are incredible especially if they can make a movie like Avatar and in 3D. If the producer says they dont have the tech then they full of crap. No excuses for the fighting scenes to look the way they did. Come on they made the flying fighting scene in matrix revolution look closer to dbz than this did. No one truly understands the approach they took for this film. Jason Masters says that if you focus more on the middle of the series, the end of Dragon Ball, but the beginning of Dragon Ball Z. you will notice a great connection to the movie and the animated series, though there were some major things change and the acting was not the best, they did keep it pretty close to it. I would love to see another movie, just keep more to the actual anime this time, make the characters more true and change goku…
The biggest problem with the movie definitely had to be the inaccuracy to the manga. Now they are free to start wherever they like that is fine, however when Goku fights “King Piccolo” he is only a boy, not a teenager, it’s not until Piccolo Jr that Goku is older.
The second thing is the way they made some of the characters. You CANNOT change Master Roshi, that is just not acceptable. He is a pervert and was a pervert from the beginning of Dragon Ball to the end of Dragon Ball GT. I think that their scripting of the characters and the way they are depicted do not represent the characters from the manga.
I believe this movie similar to Max Payne, if they simply had just called it something else it would have been alright. You cannot take a series that has been so successful and botch it, that’s not professional and more so it brings a lot of skepticism. Here is a perfect example of a botched attempt to replicate a prior masterpiece.

Seriously everybody that gets into big argument over an unmade movie has some issues. Like i said before ppl dont need to be downing others comments, thats jus their opinion. ive watched all the dragonball an dragon ball z animations and the movie was disapointing , i mean rubish. The Acting from some of the cast was poor, i could go on. but the fact is this was a big animation series and they did it no justice. they should of started from when he was little boy when he first lands on the planet.
The movie should be remade and animated example like the new tin tin movie .

The movie could have been much WORST than it was. Throughout the movie I was pleased hoping that the ending would have this awesome fight scene but it wasn’t more than totally mixed up information with a simple action scene!!!!!!!!
If you watched DB DBZ etc dont watch these films they are shit. IF you know nothing about DB/DBZ then watch the films and then youtube dragon ball and watch all the cartoons. You will then enjoy the film and the anamie.
