Does It Make A Difference? Madden NFL 2010 To “Feature” Realistic Live-Weather Conditions
Wednesday 26 August 2009 @ 10:51 am | By Sol 13 CommentsI’ll admit I’m impressed by the level of commitment by EA Sports “it’s in the game” slogan to Madden NFL 10. Partnering with The Weather Channel (TWC), gameplay is augmented by live and realistic weather conditions as said by Derek Van Nostran, director of marketing for TWC. “Our teams at The Weather Channel provide a data feed that allows EA to pull real-time weather for any location chosen as a venue within the game.”
Simply put, a tropical storm is heading to Florida. As the clouds roll in, your team will see more dropped passes and fumbles on the field. Sure this makes stadiums more challenging, but does it really make a difference? Is it worth it? I mean a developer could just as easily randomly generate weather conditions and a player can always increase the difficulty.
It is cool, no doubt. But I think while it adds another layer of realism, it becomes a passing fad when you gear up to play, you see the bad weather conditions appear in the stadium info, and are faced with the decision to risk your perfect season or move on to another game until the storm passes.

There’s not much more you can add to those football simulators. They already did realistic sweat, it will only get worse from now on.
It’s still Madden. I havn’t noticed a difference since 2000. (I would be lying if I said I played any of them)
WOAH. Epic!!
Ah, reminds me of Flight Simulator.
Madden 2017: Now with daily horoscopes for your players.
also .. with enhanced online services the team’s players will randomly catch the disease of the current pandemic threat affecting the lineup :D
Don’t forget to add interesting, realistic and (un)necesary details such as giving free-off-game life, where you must determine were are the player’s wages are spent(choose between charity runs, titty-bars, dog fights, over the top residences, restaurant entrepeneuring, paying for the divorce, paying for etc etc etc)
Also, you must avoid that the players do stupid things such as getting in fights, having affairs and letting the media know, help combat those ugly-nasty addictions and so on!
Before you know it…. Madden: The Sims Edition
I can imagine… taking group showers… impregnating cheerleaders… beating up the coach…
Its cool… I mean its not revolutionary feature… But its not like having it or not having it makes it a better/worse game.
Its like when you get 1 or 2 wedge fries stuck in your little sack of regular fries. You wouldn’t complain if they weren’t there ‘cuz its not what you wanted. But if you get them its cool and you enjoy them! =D
I complain, I make a big fuss and spit in the cashier’s face.
D;
I forgot this one: decide wich deodorant your players use xD if you pic the right one you might as well get a new endorsement! Or be cooler at least.
