Red Steel was a game that showed much promise, perhaps too much promise and that made it crush under the weight of its own hype. I’m glad Ubisoft is (allegedly) making a sequel but I’m even more glad that now we can all enjoy the best part of Red Steel: the soundtrack.
Tom Salta’s work on the game is now available for download on iTunes and a CD of the soundtrack will also be released. For those of you that didn’t play Red Steel, and I cant blame you for choosing not to, the soundtrack features everything from Traditional Japanese koto music to industrial rock to J-pop, a true masterpiece of incidental music that will have your mood going all over the place, pick it up if you can.
