Conan O’Brien Dubs Ghost In The Shell

Conan O’Brien and Andy Richter visit the Bang Zoom studios and try their hands at doing anime dubbing for Ghost In The Shell. Of course they try their hardest to make a mockery of their acting but truth be told the result is a million times better than your average English dub. In fact I’d be much more willing to pay $50 bucks for a box-set if they included joke-dubs as good as this in the extras.

Hilarious! Joke dubs, eh? Maybe in snippets and chunks. Doing it for a whole feature or episode sounds daunting.

Joke dubs are even greater. That’s what I would call real fanservice if it were to be included in the real DVD or Blu-ray, aside from the traditional commentary.

Seriously that was awesome. I would totally love to see them do the whole movie, because the sad thing is is that boring ass recap of the movie by the guy who works there is pretty much all the movie is.
I’m a little disappointed, actually. This portrayed most of the stereotypes of anime, which are the half-naked and over-exaggerated bodies of women and creepy and unattractive men who are interested in that. Ouch. Harsh but true.
