When Square Enix put up their teaser website for Chrono Trigger, many fans worldwide wet themselves. Now we’ve got the trailer, I’m sure many fans have wet themselves a second time. It’s now a reality that the world well get to experience Chrono’s adventure all over again.

I thought Square would’ve done the graphics up and updated it as they have a couple of their handheld Final Fantasy adventures. But we’ll be getting a faithful port of the SNES classic, which I’m sure is no bad thing for many. I only played the beginning of this game around 5 years ago, so I’m keen to give the game a through play through and see what the fuss was about and why many hold this game in such high regard. Square Enix haven’t indulged on any details about this game. So it’s unknown as to whether Europe will get a release, if it will feature stylus control or if indeed the final version of the game will feature some enhanced graphics.

Between Blue Dragon’s emergence on the Xbox 360 and now Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger making a revival, Akira Toriyama must be receiving some nice pay cheques for his character designs and artwork. Not that he’s strapped for cash or anything.

You know I have never played the series. Right now all my time is being sucked dry with FF Tactics Advanced 2. It looks cool and I enjoy this type of game plays. I wonder how it will utilize the screens on the DS.

Yeah, Tactics A2 is soaking up every minute of my free time. Just as Tactics did years ago.

Cant wait for Chrono Trigger though.

I’m thinking that Tactics A2 will be similar to the first one for me. I tried playing through that game like 5 times, and each time i got bored early in the game. Then the last time i tried it, i got hooked and played it all the way through.

I’ve put about 5 or so hours into A2 now, and it just isn’t hooking me in. It just seems too slow paced for my liking. So i dumped it, and started playing Disgaea on the psp.

As for Chrono Trigger. I’ll DEFINATELY pick this one up, if only because i haven’t played the game in years. But i just wish square would have done more with it.

I can’t wait for Disgaea on the DS if/when it happens. I love being able to take the game with me. Uber nerdy, but when I get hooked in those game where you can start a dungeon early on in the game to build up your characters I spend so much time on that. Happened with Phantom Brave, La Pucelle, Disgaea, I forget that there IS a story you should follow.

Well that being said I’ll keep my eye out for this one to check out. It looks fun. I wonder if there will be WiFi play.
