China hard on war of consoles. Clones Wii and PS3. Suck hard-time.
Sunday 17 February 2008 @ 3:58 pm | By Abraham 'Velcor' Duarte 7 CommentsI have been saving this one for weeks! As we all know China is the pinnacle of innovation, technology, originality, and hard labor. . .well, that statement is true, just in the hard labor area. Great, vast factories roam the land to give “paying” jobs to the people, and bikes are almost up to par with the human population of China. Don’t we all check under our toys and find the Made in China text under almost 90% of them? Oh yeah, you’ve checked. But we, people from the net, even in our vast knowledge of the originality of a product when we see one, may be fooled by these Oriental magic artifacts of cheapness and copyright infringement I’ll present to you after the break. . .
First of all I present the PolyStation 3! Whoa, if it weren’t for the super glossy finish the original PS3 has around it’s humongous black body I wouldn’t have noted the difference! No wait. . .what if. . .someone sandpapered the gloss out of a PS3, put a mini LCD screen to play on the go and changed the way of playing with 2 main buttons instead of 4? This guy sure likes to hack his consoles.
No wait, please don’t believe that. What this piece of crap offers is 7 crappy games obviously built in the console, which you can play with that cloney PS controller shown (lol the “sticks” are also buttons!).
Contender number 2 goes even more down the line, not just ripping one, but TWO next-gen consoles, the Wii and the PS3. Called the “Winner”. Dude, you forgot to put the number, it’s all about the 3’s now. What’s this? You THOUGHT of that controller feature yourself? Oh, and you also put some glossy finish into your Winner, right? You know, to make it more. . .next-gen and all that. Clever but NO SIR! You are a mock of hard-working, thinking businessmen and women around za warudo.
According to this ‘company’, the Winner can be a Ka-Ryo-Oh-Ki, can play 2d and 3d games with online play (I don’t even want to think about it), and yes, that controller he’s holding in fact has motion sensing capabilities. Also, you can view photos on it. Price tag? 120 to 150 US Dollars. Whoa, whoa, whoa. . .more than 100 bucks for this piece of copycat shit? Seriously, I think that if you want to sell something that expensive, better not be ripping off other people’s work; and no, we don’t live under rocks anymore. We know you are ripping it off.
And here’s the best one: They have promised a million (1,000,000) ‘Winners’ for north America and Japan. In your Face, Miyamoto! I think this person is a really cool guy. Eh goes into Japan with his Winner and doesn’t afraid of anything.
And last but not least, my personal favorite, the Vii (The original Wii is on the left of the picture). Power button? check. Reset button? check. Power LED? check. White mac-style hardware? check. Glossy finish? Uhh..not quite. Hey, at least it is an almost perfect clone, motion sensoring Vii-motes and playing games almost copy-pasted from WiiPlay like: Fishing, Bowling, Ping-Pong, Darts maybe? I don’t really want to remember, graphics are horrific and the Chines kids playing it are also horrific.
See this!? This is the bastard son of the world’s search for money, based on what others have done with hard work. China, the one and only with enough nerve. I rest my case your honor.
[Kotaku] on the PS3 clones.

Can’t wait for the Chronicles of Zoldo: Midnight Duchess, heard its going to be awesome!
Oh haha, I see what you did thar.
come on now velcor, you know thats nothing compared to making Chinese copies of SAN JUAN DIEGO and selling them outside the BASILICA @ DF
true, true, but they were copies, not rip-offs!!
this is the most stupid thing i’ve ever seen… poor Myamoto. At least REAL gamers are not going to buy this things. I hope :)
