You get Cat Shit One. A story about armed conflicts in the middle east told trough the eyes of CGI bunnies, cats, goats and many other fluffy creatures.
Cat Shit One (Apocalypse Meow in the US) was originally a 3 volume manga produced in the late 90’s about a US military unit of rabbits fighting during the Vietnam war, it is now being turned into a 12 episode animated series set in the middle east. There’s a play on words coming from the Japanese word for bunny USAGI and a group of U.S.A. G.I.s, you’d thing this kind of detail lost in translation would be in detriment to the series. But nothing can hurt the premise of bunnies with assault rifles and rocket launchers!
Its set for release early 2010 so there’s still a long way to go, nonetheless this is one of the most promising projects out there. Fuck it, its like putting 24, Metal Gear Solid and 100cc’s of kawaii into a blender and turning it into a fine cocktail. I’d play the game, wear the t-shirt and buy the goddamn DVD. And so should you.

Very dark, I’m not sure how I think about it. On the one hand it is quite a serious topic, but with commando bunnies it’s hard to not laugh.
I’ll be watching this! The CG is pretty well done, hopefully it won’t be full of BS with the bunny’s and all.
The manga was insane. It covered actual events during the Vietnam conflict with impressive detail. I believe this animated serious deals with the IRAN/IRAQ conflict of the 1980s when Saddam was our ally. Vietnam going through 1970, it makes sense their Recon group would wind up here.

O M G ! ! ! ! ! That looks INSANE! I’ve heard of the manga, but didn’t know they were doing an animated series :p
looks awesome, but I only saw bunnies and camels…no goats or anything else (not meaning any offense)
Look closer, there are goats.
Man, I know I shouldn’t be laughing but the idea of a giant bunny with a manly voice killing rocket-wielding camels is just too much for me.

When i remember how much shit happens in actual natural environment among animals, this seems like the likely next step on survival.
