According to Kotaku, Criterion has some special surprises on the way for owners of Burnout: Paradise. Here in a few weeks Criterion’s releasing a few cars coming to Paradise that they’re calling the Legendary cars, the first of which being this bitchin’ Jansen 88 Special. Apparently, when you get your boost meter full and hit it, the car leaves flames in it’s tracks, just like the Delorean from Back to the Future. But that’s not all. Apparently, when you hit L3 in the PS3 version (There’s no news on how to do it in the 360 version), this fucker HOVERS.
The Jansen is being added as of next year along with the Cavalry Bootlegger, Manhattan Spirit and the GT Nighthawk. They’ll each be available as individual cars or in a discounted pack.

All this segmented pay-for DLC still feels a bit greedy (Why not just have nice, beefy downloadable expansion for $15-20?), but I can’t say that this doesn’t look absolutely awesome.
Hopefully, the price will be right. I’m thinking $10 for all four. Maybe $6-8 if we’re lucky.
Awesome!
However, is it just me or does the Delorean look almost too modern? Perhaps, it is based on the new concept Delorean?
The ‘new’ delorean looks exactly like the old delorean. And Mr. Delorean was working on a new concept car made out of plastic before he died. So yeah, no new delorean :(
This looks awesome though
I love the burnout series and the delorean will look great in the crash cam. Hooray!
