Britney Spears breaks the ice
Wednesday 12 March 2008 @ 5:36 pm | By Random J 10 CommentsThe fallen from grace train wreck that is Britney Spears has released her brand new video for her latest single “Break the ice” and has decided to go all anime with it. Check it out…
The video is pretty cool in its own little way. It sure as hell beats her last two music videos. Those were like watching somebodies drunk aunt trying to dance and look sexy in a short dress and fish net tights at a party that she wasn’t invited to.

It’s like if Udon made an animated short, not real anime, but not comic either…
Also, I like how they didn’t show Britney younger, they made her more mature; this could get interesting…
Oh god! They rip off Ghost In The Shell as soon as the video starts! Let me put up a challenge out there to see how many ripoffs we can find on this thing.
Also this looks a lot like the work from GONZO, any idea what studio es behind this J?
PS: Oh god she walks a lot, she spends most of the vid walking D: reused animation frames FTL
wow, uh this is pretty QUALITY. i give britney props for using anime, but this is not the best they could have used for this. thanks for cementing the stereotypes a bit more thanks.
I don’t care if the video is anime-ish, the fact of the matter is you still linked to a Britney Spears video, and therefore must be punished.
One of her last videos almost gave me seizures. So, this video is an improvement on that front at least. Hopefully the second part won’t rely on ripping off seizure-inducing anime; then we’ll all lose. Or laugh a lot. ;D
I’ve seen worse anime music videos. But with that said, this is not on the same level as those that Daft Punk did for their’ Discovery’ album. Those videos were top notch.
As for which studio is responsible for this video, I’m not sure. It was done in South Korea and directed by Robert Hales who is a music video director and graphic designer from the UK.
For optimal enjoyment, watch it muted.
Part two better be Motoko kicking this bitch’s ass.
OK, metaphor-watch time.
What does it mean that Super-Britney’s mission is to kill her “offspring” and the man who spawned them, thus gaining her freedom? I’m seeing sublimated PND here guys…
Oh, thats a fine observation right there Eviladrian! Perhaps in the sequel we’ll get deeper insight into Britneys aspirations. Lets hope Super Britney doesn’t release a new music album on the next video then!
