Back in November we heard of Production I.G. intentions to make a Blood: The Last Vampire movie starring Korean actress Ji-hyun Jun. You might also recall I was none too pleased with that casting decision. Today I stand corrected, a few unofficial photos from the shooting of the movie have made it online through Japanese site joins.com.
Miss Ji-hyun Jun looks as close to the real (fake?) thing as one can get. Sure she’s smiling a whole lot more than Saya would on those pictures but she’s out of character. Now that I’ve been turned I will be counting the seconds to the release of the movie.

I’m really hope, they will not mess this film up. It is bad enough for them to making a live-action of it, do anyone know if they are going to follow Blood the movie or the series? I swear to god, if they follow the series it’s going to be a disappointment.
Most likely it will follow the Manga, which the movie is based on. I must say though, the manga is a lot better and much more… risque. The author was, after all, a hentai mangaka before doing Blood.
I have recently located more information on Blood Last Vampire the movie, two of the writers are from the anime version, Chris Nohan is the director which he did ‘Kiss of Dragon’. It is a live-action version of the anime, that’s from my understanding from the brief description on the plot outline. According to a website, Blood is suppose come out Spring of 2008, locations are in Hong Kong and another place in Southern Europe, but he is making another film which is suppose to come out in 2008 which he is filming right now. I am hoping that will not be the case. But it is turning out live-action adaption of the anime. Yes, I have read both novels, Night of the Beasts and Blood the graphic novel. I would enjoy reading the other novel of his, Seduction of Blood.
