Blizzard to Integrate Achievements into Starcraft II and Diablo III

We already knew that World of Warcraft would sport achievements with the launch of Wrath of the Lich King, but now Blizzard has revealed that they are expanding the idea to other future titles.

Users will have a unified Blizzard Account (probably much like a Steam account) that tracks achievements across all associated games the player owns. There’s even going to be a “Blizzard Level,” (read: gamerscore/Steam Rating). I didn’t see this coming, but I’m not surprised either.
