A first look trailer of NCsoft’s latest MMORPG, Blade & Soul, has been released. The game takes place in what looks like an ancient Chinese setting, with the most impressive graphics in an online RPG since Age of Conan. What’s even more impressive, though, is that the frantic pace of combat shown seems to be taken directly from the game.

Not much else has been said on the game by NCsoft, and so far the only region to get the press release at all is their Korean branch, but NCsoft has plenty of international branches to spread their work around the world. It will be interesting to see if the final product can look as stunning as this teaser.

This game looks incredible. Based on the fighting style I wonder if each action is key-mapped or if you layout a few hot keys and a combo is initiated. The scale on some of the enemies is nice like the lizard with the big hammer.

It also looks like the PVP to PVNPC was a different team. The battle tactics are different as in the head in ground smash. I can’t wait for more details.
