Bangai-O Spirits American Version Gets Sweet Upgrades

Following a trend only a few other awesome games have taken to in the past (like Jet Grind Radio), the American version of Bangai-O Spirits sounds like it’s going to be downright better than the Japanese one. What do we get out of the deal? Eight new levels, a more zoomed-in resolution, reduced damage from explosions, and a few other small interface and presentation tweaks.

I can’t wait to pick up this game as I’m a big fan of Treasure, and the original Bangai-O in particular. And it’s always nice to see Japanese developers go the extra mile to show that they care about their Western audiences. Treasure’s gamer love is one of the things that gives them real credence in their position as developers by the hardcore, for the hardcore </lovefest>.

    So I knew nothing about this game, did some research, watched some videos. This game looks like an Acid trip. There is some much going on at once I’m half-expecting a seizure. I can’t wait to play it.
