A few days ago we reported that release details of the DS version of the Opera web browser had been announced. Now Jon at the Orgs Tech Times blog, in the Opera Community website, brings us a review of a beta version of the handheld browser. The verdict:
All in all it would be safe to say that Nintendo and Opera have really hit it home with this combination of Hardware and Software innovation by providing the DS with an inexpensive, easy to use and beautiful product that anyone can afford.
The DS-Opera combo is a powerful choice. A relatively cheap device like the DS which goes for about $130 USD going online with Opera, one of the best browsers out there, for about $30 USD makes it one of the cheapest choices for on the go connectivity.

Not to be millions of years late, but the “relatively cheap device like the DS” part was irony or it truth was something meant to be?
**i got my TORTA DS for schmakers! (used, of course)
30 dlls
Its ok, youre only 2 years late. And yes the DS is a cheap device as far as a wifi devices are concerned. Hell the cheapest palm with wifi access is like 300 bucks. You can almost get an iphone for that much.
while i find it a bit slow upon loading i dont mind much… what i did mind is the way it displays .JPG images…
low res and highly pixelated.. unlike .PNG and .GIF formatted images
just my 2 cents.. it could be a bit .. better o.0
