When this game was first shown at e3 ‘06 I really liked the look of it. I’m not too sure why. Especially seeing as nothing was known about it at the time. But I knew I liked the look of it. Forever blue has no story or plot line. You pretty much just dive and that’s it. If you find diving alone a bit lonely, you can always exchange friend codes and dive with somebody else online. And if you get tired of listening to the sound of water in your ears you can always save your favourite mp3’s to an SD card and dive to a custom soundtrack.
Ever since owning a DS and a Wii I’ve found myself becoming increasingly drawn to alternative and casual titles. Liking games that a few years back I would’ve just turned my nose up at and disregarded because they weren’t actually video games. I’d definitely say that perhaps Nintendo are releasing too many of these games for Wii at the moment, but on the other hand it is quite refreshing to have games where the focus isn’t on collecting coins, rings, orbs and killing a boss every 3 stages.
How about you guys. Do you like these alternative games and would you buy Forever blue?

The answer’s easy: you’ve grown to feel a bit restricted having only games with set rules. Sometimes, you just want a toy that lets you be in control (or feel that way).
