Nintendo have released their latest trailer for Wario land: The shake dimension, Shake it! or Shake depending on where you live and it’s pretty good. You may wonder why I didn’t embed this video, but it’ll become apparent why when you watch it. And trust me…you need to watch it!
Check it out: Wario shakes it up on YouTube
How cool was that!! As cool as the trailer was, it didn’t entice me to buy the game – although I own all of Wario’s hand held adventures. There’s just nothing about this game that makes me want to part with 40 quid of my money. If it dropped to around £20 by Christmas I’d strongly consider picking it up. Not that I speak on behalf of every Wii owning gamers out there, but I imagine many share my sentiments: “Cool looking game, but not sure if I’d buy it at full price right now”.
I am loving the art direction and style of the game though. The animation is really slick. Jokes about the Wii not being powerful aside – it’s cool that a developer is still embracing good old 2D graphics on consoles. 3D isn’t necessary for everything. If Sega kept Sonic in the 2nd dimension for consoles, then perhaps we’d finally get a good Sonic game. Me-thinks they should take note.
Wario’s latest adventure will be available for Wii worldwide by the end of this week.

Somebody took their Honda and pimped it out – Mario stylee. I think this car looks ugly and is a complete mess, but the ghetto tackiness mesmerizes me and I actually love how f**ked up the car looks. The classy designer spared no part of the car. It’s Mario’d out from the front bumper, to the roof, right back to the trunk.

I would’ve gone one step further and had individual 20-inch rims resembling a gold coin, a fire flower, a mushroom and a star spinning in each wheel. Then I would’ve ran the tackiness into the ground by putting suicide doors on the car that rotate and had a PA system installed that plays the original NES rendition of the Super Mario Bros. theme whilst the car is in motion. If you’re going to be tacky, take it all the way and don’t look back is what I say.
You can check out more pictures of the car by heading to the link below.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl will feature a side scrolling action game complete with its only little story told via cool little scenes like this one…
Zelda and Peach rush into action like they’re ready to kick arse, yet they fail to avoid getting themselves kidnapped on a daily basis. (Silly bitches). Producer of the game Masahiro Sakurai describes this new mode as “robust”. The production values of Super Smash Bros. Melee were seriously high and it looks as though it will be no different with Brawl – so I’m fully inclined to believe the fella.
This game is going to rock. I pray every night before I go to bed that this game will feature online play. Not including it would be a slap in the face of us gamers, be a shot in the foot of Nintendo themselves and result in a breakdown from yours truly.
Also, is it wrong that I found Zelda and Peach a little hot in that movie clip? *runs away in shame*

Have you ever wondered what Super Mario galaxy would look like on the SNES? Nope, me neither. But spiderfalcox obviously has and as a result has recreated a Super Mario galaxy trailer, given it the 16 bit treatment and it looks awesome! This is proof that anything that features Mario is guaranteed hotness. (NOTE TO READERS: In the delusional world in which J lives, Mario is missing and the Super Mario film featuring Bob Hoskins does not exist).
Even if Nintendo had shown this 16 bit version of Super Mario galaxy at e3 I’d still piss myself over it. It looks a lot more fun and more interesting than New Super Mario bros. A game which (and it pains me to say this) I found a wee bit boring.
Oh! And in case some of you are wondering “What the f**k!? None of that looks even remotely like what was shown at e3 this year!?” It’s because it’s based on the Super Mario galaxy trailer that was shown at this year’s GDC. You can view the said trailer here.

Geez! Mario sure does hook up with new ladies fast. Peach has been kidnapped for all of 5 minutes and Mario’s already got a new woman in his life! I introduce to you, Rosetta. Not much is known about her other than her name and that she may grant Mario some new powers and abilities. Will she play a more significant role? Does she have a connection to Peach? Who cares?! For a character in a Super Mario game, she looks pretty sexy. :P
