A behind the scenes look at the story of the upcoming futuristic first person shooter, Section 8 (not to be confused with Niel Blomkamp’s District 9) being published by Southpeak Games and developed by TimeGate Studios.
After viewing the newly released trailer above, it is probably a safe assumption to assume that the game is on schedule for its release PC and 360 release next month on September 1.
Speaking of releases, the Section 8 couldn’t be shipping at a better time as the Xbox 360 received an update earlier today that, along with other social features, encourages users to spend more money on virtual goods in order to deck out their Avatars-perhaps we can expect to see some sweet Section 8 and Arm of Orion armor pop up on the Avatar Marketplace..?
We want to hear what you think about Section 8. Leave your comments below.

In a short, but sweet email blasted (pun intended) out this morning, publisher Soutpeak Games and developer Arkedo announced that due to the large number of requests they have received for Big Bang Mini music they have decided to offer up the award winning soundtrack for free as a stand-alone download hosted on the official Big Bang Mini Website located at www.bigbangmini.com.

A Dark Diamond Exclusive
Earlier this year developer SpiderMonk Entertainment unleashed onto the gaming world Roogoo. A cute n’ cuddly story-driven puzzle game in which Roogoo, is tasked with saving his home world from the power-hungry clutches of King Moo, his son Prince Moo and their motley crew of followers, the MeeMoo. In order to do so Roogoo must travel across 6 different environments and 45 stages to collect and sort the falling meteors that once brought life, energy and joy to the peaceful world of Roo.
Taking a short Roo-nap from his adventures on both Xbox LIVE Arcade and PC, Roogoo is gearing up for two all-new adventures on the Nintendo Wii and DS.
I caught up with with President/Creative Director, Scott March of SpiderMonk Entertainment to ask him about the wonderful world of Roogoo and what we can expect too see from the upcoming Wii and DS versions of the game.

Last Friday, September 19, my travels brought me to the designer toy shop/art gallery Double Punch in San Francisco, CA to check out SouthPeak Games’ upcoming Nintendo DS™ title Ninjatown. Aside from scoring some hands on time with what played like a near-complete version of the game, creators Shawn Smith and Jennifer Brody were on hand to show off some really cool concept art, exclusive collectible plushies and more.
Hit the jump to read about Ninjatown and for your chance to win a Ninjatown poster signed by Shawn Smith.
