Hello again! Hope you didn’t miss me along with this section of DDN! I come with an upgraded version: This time I’m going to capture myself playing the games I like and I want you to know about. How’s that, huh?  I’m such a good fellah, I’m sure you’re gonna love it!

I’d like to start this new section with one of my favorite fighting games (and almost the only if not THE only 2d sprite fighting game for the Gamecube): Capcom Vs. SNK 2 EO. For the ones who don’t know about this one, this game features a clash from your favorite fighters from the SNK fighting games (mainly KOF but some others make it to the game) and the other half of the cast from CAPCOM games. A nice touch in this sequel is that you could select among 6 different “grooves” or styles of play (like Advanced or Extra in Kof ‘97 and ‘98 but more specified) so you can choose who you play with but how to do so.

In this quick match I set up I’m the 1P, using Haohmaru, Hibiki and Athena. Difficulty is level 8 and I’m playing a standard Arcade mode. Wait for the surprising finish!

Liked it? Thought so. Expect more of these Velcor-Video-Veracities sometime later! Peace!

Comment now!

Along my living arcade life, even though I’ve been playing it for a long time, and even beat it some times, my liking for this game has never been altered. You’ve got a left to right side scrolling shooter with 3 different pilots who have to save the galaxy from some aliens / robots that are trying to conquer it. Well, for most SNK games, I think this one does a decent job in the Story department.

About the gameplay, you select your ship for which, unlike most shooters, you can select between 3 kinds of front bullets, 3 kinds of Missiles, and 3 kinds of Rear bullets, from homing, to straight, to diagonal, it’s just customization awesomeness! That means that when selecting character / ship, you’re just selecting the speed of the shuttle, so don’t worry, you can get the girl instead of the Dolphin like in Aero Fighters 3!

Among some other nice features that make this game so cool is the introduction of an excellent OST that manages to fit perfectly to every stage and situation, I mean, even the menu music gets your spine chillin’ just ready for the action!

Mobility is great, enemies are gradually tough, and it has an awful lot of replay value. You must play this game, don’t live another day without doing so!

moffstar shows us the very beginning of the game, and with this sweet audio. . .I just want to play again ;_;

Ah, SNK, your latest games have been really awe-inducing, but this one might get the claps if it’s really released in the Americas. DOKI DOKI MAJO SHINPAN!, a game we had been keeping our eyes on, gets an English website. It includes what other gaming websites do: Images, Plot, Characters, and a blog to keep you updated.

Does having a webpage in English means it will be released in English-speaking countries? Not really. Also, the translation is as broken as K’ from KOF XI or Magneto from MVC 2, so this is either the real deal with poor translators or this is just to show us the meat but denying service to foreigners. . .We can only wait.

Check the website yourself! HERE.

Guilty Gear? For the Wii? Glee!

Yes, our good brothers over at IGN has delivered us good news. Apparently, the next issue of Famitsu is going to offer details on the next Guilty Gear title, Guilty Gear X2 Accent Core. From the sounds of it, it’s going to be offered both for PS2 - and for the Wii! The Japanese release date is 7/26, but no word on other international releases! I’ll update more on it if I find something.
