In a scenario of getting something I didn’t even really want in the first place, an anonymous from London mailed me what seems to be the final build of a game steeped in so much controversy, that it was banned in not one, not two, but THREE countries. You heard right, folks. Manhunt 2 for the PS2, on my lap.
And, lo and behold, ladies and gents, it’s just as repetitious as the first one. Read more!

In what could be a big “could have seen it coming” moment, Take Two and Rockstar are delaying the release of the much anticipated fourth entry of the Grand Theft Auto franchise to next year on April, instead of the intended October 2007 release date. Chairman of Take Two Strauss Zelnick clarified in a statement that “Certain elements of development proved to be more time-intensive than expected, especially given the commitment for a simultaneous release on two very different platforms.”
Zelnick also added “the final say” to delay GTA IV was with him, but that “This wasn’t a decision we took lightly. This wasn’t a decision [Rockstar] took lightly.” Having reviewed a build just a day prior to the announcement, Take-Two felt that there was no way it could meet the game’s October 16th release date.
An understandable oversight, seeing that the GTA series have always been pushing the zenith of the console it was usually on. Still, this further reinforces the fact that all release dates for ALL videogames will never be final, and that delays will always be inevitable. Hit this sentence for the press release.

Quick newsflash, Rockstar just let us know of a new GTA IV trailer that will be released on the 28th of June. So far all that we know is the title — “Looking For That Special Someone”. Could our antihero be looking to tie the knot so early in the game? Or is he just looking to have some hot coffee? Keep checking back as we’ll keep you posted.

Look what popped into our mailbox from Rockstar this morning, its a new trailer for Manhunt 2! In this clip we see small shots from different moments in the game and and see two main characters, the doctor and his patient friend Kasper Leo, dishing out death all over the place.
There is also a really cool profiling of Kasper Leo at Rockstar’s website, I suggest you check it out. Ah, gore like this is what makes my mornings shine. Wake up and smell the drug induced psychosis!

Oh Rockstar, how you make me chuckle, you love to taunt the media and we love you for it. Turns out Bully’s hero Jimmy is quite curious about love, bi-curious I should say. Apparently a couple of rose bouquets is all it takes for Vance to play tounsil hockey with you. GayGaymer took the following video:
“I’m such a player”… More like cheap and slutty.
At least if certain lawyers try to bust Rockstar’s ass for this the gay community will have their back (I swear the pun was not intended!).

Just like they promised, here’s Rockstar’s L.A. Noire full trailer. It seems interesting, if they use that kind of lighting and camera angles for the game it could be really sweet. Then again, we know nothing about how this game’s going to be played. For all we know the point of the game could be to play snazzy jazz to the beat of rolling cinematics.
They should get Yoko Kanno to do the soundtrack, now that would be some music.

The world of the 1940’s and all its film noir glory should be coming to a ‘next gen console’ near you sometime in the near future. Or says Rockstar games who just yesterday announced their newest project titled L.A. Noire. The game will be made by Team Bondi, a new developer studio based in Australia.
With no release date or named platforms for which its being developed, all we know is that the game is set on Los Angeles on the 1940’s. A post war era where gritty PI’s and femme fatales made the core of every story. So what did Rockstar have to show for this announcement? A mighty redundant trailer for the trailer. Its a 30 second clip that shows as much as the bathing suits from the 1940’s, which is surely what they where referencing. The full trailer will be released on October 5.

Today’s episode of Attack of the Show featured a via-satellite discussion with Jack Thompson, Mark Friedler (GameDaily) and Adam Sessler (X-play Host). You might think you know how bad it got but you dont have any idea! Its like watching someone trying to demolish a brick wall with happy thoughts. Joystiq got their hands on a nice video of the event, check it out.
Its like trying to reason with a four year old, a four year old with a political agenda.
