Finally, a top tier in the Comedy section has ended. Seto no Hanayome brings us the same Boy-Girl formula but with elements that make it trascend and make any of its viewers have a great time, whether you like comedy, romance, or shounen-type separately.

Anime and American animation are completely intertwined these days. American animation gave birth to anime and in turn now America tries to copy (bastardize) anime. Teen Titans, I’m looking at you!
Yet the battle between the two still rages on among a few who cannot fathom both styles existing in the same universe. Indeed the battle spreads into animation itself as we can see in this clip where Popeye finds himself in the midst of… well 7 out of every 10 anime series.
In the end we should focus on our similarities instead of our differences, in these case, it’s all colored in Korea!

As a lot of us Extreme Sports lovers know, Takeru Kobayashi (The internationally renowned Japanese hot-dog eater) sadly didn’t win this year’s hot-dog eating tournament. We all wept as he lost the opportunity of winning for the 7th time in a row. Still, he says he’s coming for more next year and he hasn’t given up his hopes on being the all-time champion.
Now, as weird as it may seem, SNL featured a video about him if he were a super hero. Mixing between Live Action and Anime, this parodies a lot of plots I’ve seen in REAL anime, where you can beat what dire event arises, if you do whatever you do. . .with some bright aura and yellow spiked hair.

Here´s a curious fact, did you know that Mega Man, besides being awesome at defeating Dr. Willy, was also a huge TV dork? No, I´m serious, just watch the latest video from the guys at Overtime Comedy.
Or maybe he had just defeated Pretentious-TV-Critic Man and gotten his… powers.
Trick is a Japanese dorama about a failed magician and a physicist who tries to figure out the tricks behind many people claiming supernatural abilities. From what I hear, the shows quite funny. So far, it’s spawned three seasons worth of television drama, and three movies. However, what’s really caught my eye is this obvious One Piece parody in the second movie:
Professor Ueda even says ‘Akuma no mi’ [The devil's fruit] and ‘Gomu gomu no’!

And the Lucky Star fan works keep on pouring from the Internet like bukakke in Japanese porn. Here are a couple of them that should cover your Lucky Star fix for a while. First up Lucky Tae-bo!
And then there’s… this. There’s really no way to describe it, just watch it and try and catch as many references as you can!

You and your party board the elevator, the long lift to the top floor doesn’t help your nerves. What if you are not ready? Maybe you should have taken that side quest the old lady offered you at the last town. The extra exp definitely wouldn’t be a frivolity. Before you know it you are already at the door, you know there’s no stopping now, its coming. The boss battle is here, literally.
Yeah, bet you didn’t see that one coming. This is an ad for Jeanne D’ Arc, the PSP turn based strategy RPG released last year in Japan. The ad might be old, but its gold, real gold I tell ya’!

Oh, the MEGA64 crew never ceases to amaze me. Not because a lot of their videogame spoofs are golden, but because almost all the time they manage to avoid getting busted and being put to jail. No, these guys anly go with a warning, and what do tehy do? Exactly. More havoc (But good havoc, nevertheless)..
See what I mean!? These guys have my Respeknuckles!

Mark Leung, I think I’ve heard that name before, but still the reason I remembered his name is because he has a pretty cool project called College Saga where María, Jesus, and Mark himself go on a pretty strange adventure!
Taken from Mark’s site :
Once upon a time, when Earth was still a beautiful place, an evil force came to turn all living things into Vegetarians.
Three students from suburban Massachusetts would step up against this catastrophe… to end Vegetarian Supremacy.
Here’s episode 1 for everyone’s delight, featuring stuff from the Final Fantasies.
