As much as I love girls in school uniform inspired outfits and as much as I enjoy Japan’s many alternative fashion tribes, there’s a very thin line that must not be crossed. A line between the hot and exotic and the just plain silly, a line Kirsten Dunst just crossed.

The lovely Kirsten Dunst was spotted in Tokyo a few days ago dressed in something that can only be described as post-lolita-anime-hobo. Apparently she was recording footage for a music video but frankly that doesn’t matter, this is just wrong. This is a textbook example of something being lost in translation, it’s like watching Teen Titans and have people call it anime. Somewhere between Japan and… wherever the hell this costume designer lives, the delicate nuances of alternative fashion got completely screwed over and turned into a parody of themselves. Miss Dunst: you’re doing it wrong.
…but I’d still hit it.

Here’s one for our female readership (hey there must be at least one of you out there), or for anyone else with a lolita persuasion. The Valley of the Dolls Lolita Tea Party is a party going on in LA on November 23 for well, lolitas and their dolls. There will be food, tea and plenty of J-rock J-pop. I even hear they will have a screening of *gasp* Rozen Maiden. The lolita community is one of the fastest growing sub-communities within the western otaku crowd and its awesome to see events like this coming to life. If anyone in the LA area is planning to go, take some pictures and send them our way, we’d love to know!

Oh boy, we’re all about fast here in the internet, aren’t we? Hope that doesn’t reflect our reputation in bed. We love game speedruns, fast downloads (for porn usually), fast music and of course, timelapse videos of geeky shit. And that’s exactly what we have! No, not porn, a timelapse video.
In this timelapse video a nameless Japanese Otaku models a 3d loli in Maya in 4 minutes of video, with music just as spastic as the video itself. Now lets all take a minute and slow down… you know what? Make that 15 seconds, and slow down fast please, I’ve got… stuff… to download.

That above is, as if not obvious, the box art for Dragon Quest Swords for the Wii. I’ve never been one to give much importance to a game’s cover and neither have I been a big fan of the Dragon Quest series. Nonetheless the art for Dragon Quest Swords is pretty alluring which is actually making me want to play it, if only to see more of that gothic lolita girl in the cover.

Its time for a little relaxation and eye candy, wouldn’t you say? How about this Aya Hirano photo shoot video? She’s the Seiyu who gave voice to Haruhi Susumiya, Misa Amane in Death Note and currently Voices Konata in none other than Lucky Star. In this photo shoot for Japanese magazine Voicha! Aya breaks from her usual good girl style when she’s transformed into a full gothic lolita, Internet gold I tell you!
Although, for being a voice actress her everyday voice seems… less than appealing to say the least, you may watch it in mute and spare yourselves the experience.

Sound of the alarm, Amazon Japan’s list of best selling games is being dominated by lolis! Just two days ago SNK’s Dokidoki majo shinpan! was the number one sold game on Amazon, You might remember Dokidoki majo shinpan! as the witch ‘inspection’ game where you apparently touch, rub and stare at girls just like in any other H-game.
That’s not all the loli though because even if today the game is at number 3 of the list, number 5 makes up for it. And what’s number 5? The new Lucky Star interactive novel for the DS (dating sim).
So two games featuring lolicon and questionable ethics for a portable system, a great season for the demanding pervert who’s always on the go.

For those of you who have been meaning to watch Rozen Maiden but will never really do it, or those who, like me, dont have any intentions of watching the series on my own, I give you Rozen Maiden in a nutshell.
Anyone who ever said it needed more desu, well, it doesn’t. I think 527 desus are enough for the whole Internet and then some.

Seems like the whole lot of PS3 resellers on eBay are getting pretty desperate in getting you to shell out your hard earned cash.

A large number of exposed bosoms and even a goth and a gothic lolita (my favorites)to get your attention. Well they’ve got my attention, but not my money. A lot more pictures at Random Routine.
PS: This, once again, proves that cosplay can sell anything, even in America!

Oh to be a young creepy girl… its certainly advantageous. You get your own games, like Rule of Rose, who’s website launched just a couple of days ago! The website finally offers a small peak into the game’s story.
1930s, England. The year that marked the start of the age of the great zeppelins. A mysterious story is spreading among children in one town. “The park is dangerous after dark. You’ll be eaten by stray dogs. People who are eaten are confined to a zeppelin in the sky and can never leave”
Oh yes, thats the creepy fish-blimp from the trailer, this game sounds each time more creepy. Among other things you can download some goodies from the site, like wallpapers and icon packs. You can also check out the new famous trailer for the game. No fish-blimp wallpaper tho!
