Several weeks back a few friends and I found ourselves trolling the floors of the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA for WonderCon 2009. It was my first time attending Wondercon and it was a sheer blast, not to mention a bit overwhelming too; so many sights, sounds and…undesired smells to take in.
For the most part, my first day at Wondercon was spent attending panels and getting a feel for the lay of the land. I had to prepare for day two where I would blow exorbitant amounts of hard earned cash on PVC figures and other miscellaneous spoils of war. It would also present me with the opportunity to thoroughly examine the sea of independent artist booths that blanketed the show floor.

Last week, I brought you my list of my top 5 favorite anime opening themes, you where very vocal in what you thought on them. In that same vein, this week I bring you my top 5 anime opening sequences. Now, this time, I’m sharing my criteria with all of you:
- Does the opening match the series well?
- Does the song match the opening, in timing as well as feel?
- Is the opening cheesy? If so, is it necessarily cheesy, or is it just plain stupid?
- Does the opening make sense? By which I mean, is it just some random amalgam of action shots or does it actually show the characters in their element?
- Is it a dub opening?
So, with that in mind hit the jump to catch the top 5, and why they made the list.

UPDATE: Yesterday, when the achievements went live, some users found that they already had a few awarded to them, including yours truly. As far as I know, the only achievements that were affected by the bug were Lenin a Hand, Purge, Five-Second Plan, and Konspicuous Konsumption. As of this morning, Valve revoked the achievements for everyone that had it awarded for free. No news yet on whether or not people who got it legit yesterday still have it or not. Leave a comment if you got it legit and don’t have it today so I can update this if needed. Also, rest assured, if you fall below the achievement count for any of the Heavy unlocks, you will still have them.
So, about 10 minutes ago, the Heavy update went live on Valve’s popular FPS Team Fortress 2. The video above is Meet the Sandvich (sic), a preview of the Heavy’s first new unlockable weapon. This gi-normous update comes with the new Arena game mode, a total of 7 maps (A new Payload map, CP_Steel, 2 brand-new Arena maps, and 3 re-tooled maps for Arena mode), 35 new achievements, 3 new weapons, and some important bug fixes. The entire patch notes, plenty of images, and details after the jump.

Today we have for you a special feature interview with GWX, the creator of a very unique site: Wii Game Ideas. For some months now, GWX has written and collected a vast amount of game and gameplay concepts for the Nintendo Wii. He has even tried several times to get Nintendo to listen up, sadly this has yet to happen. Now I should warn you, GWX (who asked to keep his name private) is quite the Nintendo fanboy, not a crazy one but still a fanboy. So those of you who are fanboy intolerant and/or fanboys of opposing factions in the console war might want to read this with discretion.
Who am I kidding…. most fanboys love getting angry at ‘the enemy’ so lets just get on with this.
