Remember months ago when those guys made that simple hack for the Wiimote that allowed it to track your head movements and move the screen on camera according to that? Remember how we all thought “Oh wow, that’s true 3D!”? Well, we were not the only ones. Now a Japanese eroge developer, Tech48, has put the principle to work for its new title.

Teatime is a game, like many other eroges lately, where its just you and a 3D girl and you get to… interact with her to your hearts content. The only difference being that this game uses a webcam loaded with infrared LEDs to track your head movements and move the camera accordingly. What does this translate to really? Upskirts.

While a gimmick at most the feature does have one very evident advantage. Without the need to control the camera with a mouse or keyboard, your hands are free to… knit a sweater for the homeless. Here’s a video of the game in action.

The 4chan /a/, board is a hive of otaku, and other walks of life who like, well, anime and that sort. Back in the beginning of 2007, one guy posted a picture of various girls with different diseases and unfortunate things. Being 4chan,  they really don’t care about that sort of thing, they thought they were moe, and a few decided that they wanted a game made out of the idea. So on that note and a few very enthusiastic threads later, the Katawa Shoujo eroge (erotic game) project was created, now you’re asking yourself, wow, this guy seems pretty into this, and well, the reason that is, is because I was one of those anonymii that posted in the original thread (good for you bro), and well tried to get myself on the writing staff, but at that time there were quite a few people going for that too, so I backed out, that and I knew that it was going to take a long, long time for this to actually get anywhere, even if it did.

But now, almost 2 years later they finally have enough together, have a home page, and made some news in japan, so it looks like they have something good going right? There is no release date right now, but they will provide a full free download of the game, since this is pretty much a fan-made type game. It looks really good, no they didn’t ask me to advertise, go check it out.
