Because no one demanded it, and due to an overdue “A Look Back @” column still in the works, I bring you yet more equations that may amuse or bewilder. I’m surprised Gamers(TM) hasn’t lodge a complaint on my inspired “borrowing” of their shtick. I’ll get on with serious stuff soon, but for now, enjoy:

Fresh off the back of Dragon Quest Swords’ mammoth success and breaking of records in Japan - Square Enix recently announced that remakes of Dragon quest IV, V and VI will be appearing on the Nintendo DS! The remakes will be in full 3D, feature an updated soundtrack and will undoubtedly spread the action across the DS’s 2 screens and feature stylus control. The ports will be handled by Artepiazza, who are no strangers to the series having developed several Dragon Quest remakes in the past. I’ve never played a Dragon Quest game before, so I’m definitely looking forward to this. If there’s one system that can sell a game to me, it’s the DS.
At this rate I wonder if Square Enix will have any games left to remake by 2008.

DRAGON QUEST SWORDS: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors is the name of one of the titles Nintendo will be getting for the Wii from Square-enix. Now with the new DQ adventure being announced for the DS, it’s a great idea to expand the franchise to Nintendo consoles
Words from Executive Producer, Yuu Miyake:
We believe (Dragon Quest’s) appeal lies in simplicity that anyone can enjoy, and the excitement of becoming a hero in an epic adventure. With the Nintendo Wii, we believe that these aspects of the DRAGON QUEST experience can be taken to a whole new level of fun and interaction
I hope this one gets even more interactive swordfighting than Red Steel!
