Enterbrain’s next entry in its RPG Maker series is coming out for PC, but you’ll be able to export and publish games to an XBox 360 via the XNA Creators Club.  It may be possible to publish said games as free to play XNA Community Games as well.

This could be a boon for doujin game developers who want to gain wider exposure, and also for the fans looking to play more obscure games on 360. It’s hard to say whether this will take off or not, but knowing the persistence and ingenuity of indie developers, this should lead to the production of some quality titles.

Pop Japan Travel, the travel agency for otaku by excellence, has announced a Mind Over Manga tour to Japan where besides visiting all the cool little places in Tokyo including an anime studio, aspiring artists get to publish and sell their doujinshi at Comitia, a big convention when it comes to selling doujins.

If qualified (meaning probably that your material doesn’t suck), Pop Japan Travel will translate your doujin, print it, and help you sell it at Comitia, letting you interact with any fans and prospective buyers. Pretty much as close as a foreigner will get to feeling like a mangaka. That is unless you are Fred Gallagher and you have a huge army of fanatics telling you you are.

The price tag on living the dream comes at $2,198 but that’s without printing costs, the dream might have to wait just a little longer for most starving artists.

Here’s a little something Velcor found today, but since he’s on assignment I’ll be the one posting it. Found on IIchan’s crossover board is this pretty damn cool Super Smash Brothers Brawl manga drawn in the famous style of Kohta Hirano, creator of Hellsing, its pretty badass.

Hirano is famous for his overtly dramatic, and quite surreal, poses along with chaos-loving monologues that just ooze out mettle! If this doesn’t pump up your blood for some SSBB or some mad vampire action then you just might be already dead, and not the cool un-dead king. Do you want more Machiavellian Mario? Check out the full doujinshi below.

Lets go, Gentlemen!

This was actually a fun doujin to check out. It’s a fan pairing out of the Naruto Universe - and for once, it’s without the gratuitous (or for some of you people, very much needed) hentai! (However, check out the links at the bottom of the doujin’s website and you’ll find a couple). Anywho, as the pic suggests, it’s a Naruo x Hinata pairing. From what I can assume, this whole pairing happens after Naruto’s training with Ero-sennin.

Alright, for those of you otaku fans who just happen to have an affinity for the cultural phenomenon that is Dance Dance Revolution, boy do I have a treat for you. Here’s the general concept:

Sorry about the pic, but bear with me here and click the damn link!

The 10K Commotionis a Dance Dance Revolution™ Tournament held in Honolulu, Hawaii. Sponsored by the creators of the original game, this promises to be the biggest tournament ever in the USA.

Thousands of players will register and hundreds will win prizes ranging from cash & in-store prizes, modeling contracts and music video agent consultations, to endorsement agreements with clothing and merchandise sponsors and prizes from local sponsors.

The ultimate prize: $10,000 USD and the contract to model and motion capture for the yet unreleased DDR10K Mix.

Each team of 5 players will compete for top scores in Maniac and Trickster Divisions — The most athletic, charismatic, and stellar-scoring team will rise to the top and be immortalized as the newest DDR All-Stars in the International Version of DDR10K. But over the week long competition, exactly who is the top team may not be so clear.

The webcomic is centered around two rivaling teams: Team Psycloneand the Platinum Mark. I’ve really enjoyed the doujin, despite it’s pace on updates. Though, looking through the strips, you can see how much work Yukon Makoto has put into it! It’s truly worth the wait! - the characters are charismatic and believable, and you go through some pretty complex times with them. I love the unique coloring style, and I love the way Makoto censors her characters in here. She really does know how to set the mood for a scene with her use of watercolors. If you really what you see you should check out her sketchbook. She’s got a couple of great fan comics up as well. So go on ahead, check it out - what’ve you got to lose?
