The world of Mirror’s Edge is already highly stylized, colorful, and pulsing with energy, so it seems only natural that EA would think to create a comic cook adaptation of the game. EA has signed a deal with DC to produce the comic, and Rhianna Pratchett, who’s writing the dialogue for the game, will be the writer for this as well.
As you might have expected, the story of this series is a prequel to the events of the game, explaining Faith’s backstory. The reader will “learn more about the events that shaped both her and the city,” says DICE’s Owen O’Brien. It’s debuting this winter.

Video Game webcomics are a buck a pound these days, from the really good ones to the ones that make you loose hope in humanity. So I wouldn’t normally post about a webcomic strip, but when an honest to goodness webcomic that isn’t about Video Games makes such a good reference to gaming, it must be known.
And Questionable Content, one of my favorite webcomics, pulled a great one on the latest strip. A Final Fantasy reference AND what seems like a FLCL reference in one? Sweet!

Faith Naked was over at FanExpo this past weekend and she just posted a collection of cosplay photos from the event. There’s the obligatory Final Fantasy group photo and a couple of nice X-men shots. But of them all, these two have got to be the best.

I guess smoking does inhibit growth, huh snake?
(for the record, I dont think I’m much taller than him, I could still take him though)

This Symbiote Spidey has the geeky gimp thing going for him,
and that little symbiote in his pants isn’t helping.
Do yourself a favor and go watch the gallery!

This one goes out to all the cubicle dwellers out there, ‘Hang in there’ no more! Centennial Society posted this mute comic strip which they send in every Business Reply envelope they receive with junk mail. It feels like a visual hymn to freedom. But the main point of this collection is that it does not need words, so I’ll shut up and let pictures do the talking.

Revolt!
