What do you get when you mix ingenious film making, lots of passion, and a few brilliant minds: Metal Gear Solid Philanthropy. A three part saga made with a budget just under $15,000, fanmade Philanthropy gives videogame fans the melodrama in live action form. The history behind the production is just as dramatic, but gives birth to an amazing presentation and talent.
We’ve seen fan shorts before, but not full features. I’m sure we have a talent pool here at DarkDiamond capable of similar feats…
Know as the “Ultimate Horror Maze”, the Fuji-Q Highland amusement park in Japan is considered the world’s longest (roughly .6 mile) and scariest zombie-infested horror house. However, organizers temporarily closed the zombie laden labyrinth due to the loss of its scream inducing edge. During the hiatus, a Zombie Boot Camp was developed to hone staff in the proper undead artistry.
So very soon, October will be here and I will get all my cheap thrills dressing up, going to horror houses. It’s cool to see a year ‘round fright fest, too bad it’s a sea away. Also I was expecting to see a little Thriller in the mix.
No, Bad Kids Go to Hell is not he name of the next hit reality series on Fox, rather a comic mini-series combining the talents of former Hollywood FX master and playwright Matthew Spradlin with Producer/Director/Writer and actor Barry “Bazza” Wernick into a rich storyline reminiscent of a demon spawn between John Hughes and Wes Craven. Filled with every teenage stereotype and excellently crafted panels by artist Anthony Vargas, Bad Kids pushes the envelope in terms of content, violence, and other “mature” themes. The best part is you are loving every moment of it. I had the opportunity to interview the creators of Bad Kids Go To Hell. I’ll let you read what they had to say about their teen angst story after the break. Read more!

” With an orange-painted-with-swirls LesPaul in hand, Sir Swissgar The Stallion, the dude with the blonde hair and spiked leather jacket, struts out with covers of ‘You’ve Got Another Thing Coming’, ‘Killing In The Name’, and ‘Surrender’, followed up with an encore of ‘War Pigs’, sung by the notorious Black Sabbath. He misses a few notes, but it matters not. He was in the zone, and the crowd just went balls-busting nuts.”
Sounds like something you come up with your imagination while punching in numbers at that job in the local bank. In truth, this was one of the examples of a play session of Guitar Hero 2, the sequel to the acclaimed rhythm game series created by Harmonix. All of the intensity of performing live, less than 10 minutes to perform. Read more!

I suppose I must apologize for yesterday’s lack of posts on my part. I was feeling a little under the weather and went to bed at 6. But I did waste a lot of time before that, time that could have been better used at posting. What did I spent my time in? Well I was doing a quiz. Yes, yes I know a quiz shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes, but this was no ordinary quiz, it was The Impossible Quiz!
I made it up to question sixty-something when before I said “fuck this, I could be posting” and went to bed. If you’ve got a minute or forty free then check this out, it will probably end up pissing you off but at least it has awesome Impossible Quiz music! Try it out and tell us how far you made it in the comments.
