I’m filing this under anime, but I can’t really describe what exactly this is. However it, is an homage to a number of classic sci-fi animations such as Heavy Metal and Fantastic Planet. What is produced is an awesome collaboration of contemporary music with fantastical aesthetics.
Back in November we posted the first scene of this full-length CG animation. While previous Resident Evil films have drawn upon elements of the series, Degeneration is set in the game universe, centering around Leon Scott Kennedy and Claire Redfield doing what they do best, uncovering secrets and killing zombies.

For those out of touch of the videogame-to-film adaptation world (and I bless your lucky souls for that), the coming-soon Castlevania: Dracula’s Curse animated movie (NOT the live-action Castlevania directed by Paul W.S Anderson) is being written by Warren Ellis, famous for gems such as Transmetropolitan, Planetary, and my personal favorite, Global Frequency. An excerpt of the first draft is posted on this link, and apparently, his brand of humor is portrayed in the form of the molestation of farm animals. I’m not joking.
