Kotaku got their hands on some info from a GameStop manager’s conference that revealed Animal Crossing: City Folk will not only be sold by itself, but also in a package with the WiiSpeak online mic accessory we saw used with the game during E3. This package is poised at a price of $69.99 US. I’m assuming the discount to consumers would equal something like ten dollars (I believe WiiSpeak will sell for $29.99 US on its own). However, Kotaku says this information is not necessarily 100% accurate and is “double checking with Nintendo” on this matter.

When I say “pretty much,” I mean that there’s no reason to guess otherwise, looking at the evidence here from the Uk’s Official Nintendo Magazine. Kotaku agrees, saying they expect Nintendo to announce the game during this year’s E3 event.

From the image provided, it looks like nothing has changed dramatically, at least on the graphics front (which is to be expected given how most franchise updates from Gamecube to Wii have turned out). Hopefully this will be an even deeper game than previous Animal Crossings.
