In these summer months two new cafes will be swarmed by the otaku in Akihabara providing alternatives to the current trend of maid cafes. What does the Akiba otaku have to look forward to? Catgirls and Nuns, yes you heard right, Nuns. This is setting itself up to be a religiously freaky experience! The catgirl cafe, creatively named “Cafe with Cat” is already hiring waitresses aged between 18 and 29. Pictures of the very Halloween-ish costumes on the Akiba Blog.

Now for the good stuff, the nun cafe! Its called St. Grace Court and to go with the theme customers are greeted with a “Lost lambs, Welcome to Grace Court!” To close with a bang the cafe’s ambient music is gospel inspired. Pictures of the cafe and the nun costumes can be found here.
