Nintendo has announce a new accessory for the Wii Remote in a press release from nintendo.com. The device, seen above, attaches to the expansion port of the remote and "allows for more comprehensive tracking of a player’s arm position and orientation, providing players with an unmatched level of precision and immersion."

More information will be available at Nintendo’s E3 press briefing later this week.

Ubisoft Announces Wii Wheel for GT Pro

Ubisoft is bringing 8 launch titles to the Wii, it is without a doubt the Wii’s biggest 3rd party supporter. One of those launch titles is GT Pro, a racing game, which apparently, will be packed with a steering wheel.

While this is clearly a digital rendition of the wheel it is the final design. Many complain that this kind of cheap to make accessory with zero extra functionality will cheapen the experience of the Wiimote. I beg to differ, accessories have, for a long time, been expensive, heavy, and many times fragile. With attachments like this, mote than an accessory this is a prop, a toy. And you know what? Toys are still cool in my book.

The game, on the other hand, doesn’t look very good, at least graphically. The game is cel shaded but that style evidently doesn’t come off as well in the screenshots. Ubisoft promises a game that is better done and full-featured than most racing titles out there.
