Still, rest assured that these reviews will seldom get you in trouble since as a lot of you know, my reviews cover the technical aspects mostly without going too much into detail.

Now, on to the review!!

Pigeon Blood is awesome; it has the right amount of animation, the right amount of music, and the necessary characters for the story, not more nor less. Being made based from an h-game you never expect a good story (except for C’s ware games), but you’ll be surprised on how some scenes just captivate your 5 human senses.

Based on the game of the same name created by Abogado powers (you better don’t ask. . .) this 2 episode OVA was created in 2003 by Studio Discovery. You can find it via fansubs on the net.

STORY:

Pigeon Blood tells the story of a guy who lost his memory and for some reason is the “master” of a mansion full of sex slaves. Some other day, the main guy is intercepted by a cute girl who surprisingly asks him to let her be his slave, and she’ll do whatever for him. . .yes! WHATEVER! Oh man, whatever has never been that abundant a term in other hentai animes, well. . .as a matter of fact neither in this one, although you sometimes get that    [ (o .   o)~wtf ]    face. Still, it seems he trains these girls so they can be great sex slaves for the “customers” that go there some nights (the same as Eyes Wide Shut and Speed Grapher). Well, then the story starts to unfold itself. . .

This girl is moe. . .and I like her hair. . .laces.

GRAPHICS:

Pigeon blood isn’t that old to have this kind of animation and character design. It is a lot of times sloppy, on the go, but in other parts (mainly the bondage ones) it can make you awe. I mean. . .they know well how to use 3D effects and boy do they use it well! they even have a Matrix-esque scene, I was in awe for 1 minute straight when I saw it!

SOUND & MUSIC:

BGM reminded me of some PC games like Bunny must die, like it were done in an old MIDI sequencer; not polished, simple, again. . .on the go. Surprisingly enough, the lack of this soundtrack was an excellent way to build stress up in certain scenes, pushing the viewer’s mind into trying to guess what was going to happen and when. A pretty good detail there, kudos for that! Sound effects are nicely done. Whips sound Whippy, candle drops sound droppy and liquids sound. . .well, you know. . .ok.

Are these guys serious?! That thing can do some MASSIVE DAMAGE. . .weak point or not.

OVERALL:

Pigeon blood gives us a nice experience in the journey into the bondage area of anime. Yes. . . it sometimes gets pretty rough with the bondage and the “instruments”, and other times you start to ask “wait, how is this even possible?!” but in the end. . .you gotta exploit the genre; if you cannot do it in real life, draw it, animate it, give it some good voice acting, and voila! Fetish done.
