This anime really gave me something to think of. . . There must be manga/anime for Everything and Anything ever imagined! Wether it’s a guy who dials a wrong number and gets a girl to live by his side, or a guy who saves a girl from a mud puddle and she feels eternally endebted with the guy, you get the point: There’s no end to imagination as there isn’t to manga and anime. This time it’s turn to Jungle De Ikou, a funny adventure of an average teenage girl.

This anime is brought to America thanks to Anime Works and distributed by Media-Blasters. Original work by Yuji Moriyama.

STORY

Instead of a complex storyline, this guy keeps it simple: It’s a girl (Natsume) who gets some mysterious statue from his archeologist father. It has some pendants/earrings that Natsume wears overnight and bring a trapped demon into this world. But the demon is not that much of a threat (in any way), so funny stuff happens afterwards.

GRAPHICS

This is anime from the end of the 90’s so you expect animation quality a little more crisp than evangelion, but not as detailed as Trigun (to mention one). It’s very acceptable and the action sequences are well drawn.

SOUND & MUSIC

The music author runs by the name of PAROME, who does a good work in incidental music, but not pretty much more than that. Opening and ending are not very catchy although they’re good. Reminds me of Battle Programmer Shirase in the “influence” of the music in the anime(although this one is newer than Jungle De Ikou).

OVERALL

A good comedy show with big breasted girls that is best appreciated at night with a bunch of pervert friends at your side. Have some chips, soda and pizza to earn Bonus exp. points!!! On a side note, this anime has BE, Giantess, and ero ero dances. I’m sold. Again!
