Romdeau is a peaceful city, perhaps too peaceful. In this city ,where human and androids, known as auto-raves, coexist; people are encouraged to leave behind their possessions, feelings and thoughts. But this peace is interrupted as a mysterious figure declares a vendetta and a series of murders begins.

Enter Lil Mayer, a detective for the Intelligence Bureau, and her autorave partner Iggy, they are set to investigate incidents where autoraves ‘malfunctioned’ gaining self awareness and killing humans. The apparent cause of this a virus called cogito of unknown origins.
After investigating a lead on an awakened autorave Lil’s house is attacked by two monstrous creatures, one who looks suspiciously like her grandfather.

And somewhere, a group of high ranking government agents speak about a secret project and something that has reached the city from foreign lands.

The episode closes with Paranoid android from radiohead, not my music of choice moodwise and I still hold hope that there will be another musical theme at the beginning in episode 2.
