Eimi Ohba Figure Review
Sunday 20 May 2007 @ 2:49 pm | By Fadsy 2 CommentsWelcome to the sixth installment of ‘Figure Review from a Hikikomori’. This time, I am reviewing Kotobukiya’s figure of Eimi Ohba, changing clothing. This is a mighty blast from the past that I found at Anime Central 2007 after missing a chance at her a couple of years ago because I really am quite bad at using alternative websites. She turned three years old this month.
Eimi Ohba is one of the major doujinshi sellers in a series called Comic Party. The series revolves around Kazuki, a doujinshi artist new to the scene, and the interactions and events that happen as he becomes better and more versed in the ways of fan comics. He gets involved and intertwined in Ohba’s life later into the series.
For it’s age, this piece is quite nice. She’s a 1/6 scale, and cost 4800 yen (about $40 USD), which is a huge bargain for both the quality and the scale. She’s roughly 4~5 inches tall, and takes up about 2 inches horizontally. She stands fine without any sort of stand, although she is slightly tipsy if she’s on a forward angle.
The detail on her is spectacular. Aside from joint lines on her shirt, there are no visible marks or paint overlaps. Her face detail is very nice, with no visible smudging at all, and her blushing is a nice addition to her expression. The shadowing on her shirt is nicely done.
Underboob.
Hobbylink’s page is here. Good luck finding her though. Perhaps some random store might have her, just like I found her. Amazon.com might have her as well. They seem to have a nice collection of figures now.
Maybe next week I will be on time yes hahahahaha.
Rants:
She was the third figure I bought at Anime Central this year. I couldn’t believe I found it, much less for the price I paid for her. I paid about $24, which is slightly more than half of her list price value. Given she turned 3 years old this year based on release date, I scored big time picking her up. I don’t remember offhand if the beer bottle she’s riding was one of the ones I finished or not.

You refer to a figure as “her”. My mind itches.
You think thats creepy? She refers to Fadsy as ‘daddy’. Wrap your mind around that.
