Pink Pineapple did it again, bringing us quality work that is almost never expected of hentai animation. Dragon Knight takes us to the world of Fantasy RPG’s with Party forming, level up-ing, spell casting and the obligatory girl flirting everyone loves.

Brought by Studio Pineapple, This anime is based on the game by the same name, made by Elf. It’s from 1999 and the DVD brought in 2003.

STORY

Story starts with a guy named Kakeru that has been imprisoned by unknown causes. He is then visited by an elfen-type girl that makes him return to the past to change the turn of events to prevent the present from turning that way. He is grown now, and he wears a mask and changes his name to Eto so that his past self wouldn’t recognize him. so now he has to change the flow of events (sorta) to prevent his party from dying.

GRAPHICS

Traditianal pencils from Pink Pineapple mean over-average quality and great backgrounds. The character details are pretty cool. you have Sorceresses, Warriors, Knights, Berserkers, Pirates, younameit. Everyone with their unique characteristics, like a well done RPG. The costumes are good . . . to the point that I might make me a costume form the main char, Eto.

SOUND & MUSIC

I don’t recal wathcing an Opening song, but the Final Episode’s song is pretty cool. It really really suits the atmosphere after the outcome of the story. The BGM music is well put, mainly in the H-scenes, where you likely hear some Bar music while going with a girl, ha.

OVERALL

A great story with pretty cool characters and animation. Obviously you’ll not see ultra deep plots or super timed-signatured music here, but it’s hentai, and it’s pretty good to watch.
