Another Dragon Knight adventure comes to us, following what all RPG’s lovers want: Dumb quests, mediocre enemies, awful dialogue and a bunch of pretty chicks that want to be with the hero. The perfect formula, right?

STORY

It all starts with Takeru Yamato, a freelance swordsman that goes to a nearby town to get some food an rest. He finds out it’s a deserted town and decides to check out the castle nearby. He is captured by a guard of an all-female run palace. He’s about to be punished but suddenly the queen remembers that he might be the Hero of Legend that will take out the curse that fell over the kingdom. He then takes off to the evil tower against the demon god. On a curious note, the protagonist has almost the same name as the main character from the other Dragon Knight Saga (Takeru in this one, Kakeru in the other one).

GRAPHICS

This was made in 1991, so remember… we have those classic big anime girl eyes, super sleek women and opaque coloring. The battle sequences are god-awful and so not-full of action that become funny.

SOUND & MUSIC

We have classic 80’s synthetizer!! I get the chills when I hear this; I’m always waiting for something funny to happen, maybe Michael Jackson appearing out of nowhere, doing the moonwalk, and then dissapear. That would be awesome. You’ll hear a lot of silence (!?) so I can’t say much about the presence of BGM. The ending is pretty normal too.

OVERALL

I laughed with this OVA. It only lasts 30 minutes and is worth it. It made me rememeber the good ol’ days when it was DIFFICULT to get anime series, let alone ecchi. It doesn’t have dull moments, but you can expect a lot of stuff almost since the beginning; Well, it may mean that society has become a little smarter over the last 2 decades. . .

SUPER TIP: To expand the fun factor by +26 just watch this with English dubbing enabled.
