This is my first Hentai review, and I plan to start with one of the best I’ve seen in my entire life (and that says much!! ^ ^ ;). Beat Angel Escalayer; as the name implies, we have a heroine named Escalayer and a lot of stuff that happens around her. Wanna know more about this excellent work? Jump. Now.

This anime is brought to us by Studio Pink Pineapple. Widely known to be one of the pioneers of hentai animation with titles like New Angel and Dragon Pink.

STORY

Straight to the point it’s about a Magical girl that needs to get horny to charge her transformation device that resides in her heart. Weird? For the common man, yes. for the Japanese man, it’s a walk in the park. She fights monsters that appear thanks to some organization that might want to take over the world, that never gets explained, but nevertheless it’s what gives Magical Girls a reason to live and not letting themselves get raped by tentacle monsters and stuff (Only when needed ;)).[NOTE: Notice that I put a high ranking to story not because of this, but of the shock I received in ep. 2 which I will not tell. . .find out yourselves!!]

GRAPHICS

It has Pink Pineapple’s trademark in Character Design and seems that they came along with technology to improve yet keep their style; Somewhat like Studio Ghibli has done. Animation isn’t the “Bright & Shiny” type like Bible Black or Magical Pokaan! (Not hentai). It has pretty COOL fighting sequences/ FX that, although short in duration, make some DBZ effects go and cry in the corner (like explosions and “lightspeed” movements). It becomes a little bit glitch for almost 5 seconds in the 2nd ep. on a certain love-scene, but nothing to say damn “I can’t stand this”.

SOUND & MUSIC

The OP. Song is cheesy cute, like expected from a hentai. Typical musical cadences V-I, so nothing wow-worthy. The music is played on very low in comparison to sound FX and voices, and likely sounds on critical or tension parts, yet it suits the scenario given well. The ED. sounds like a slower remix of the OP. so… well :S. (It’s pretty damn slow, dammit! When will I see some Power Metal in my hentai?!)

OVERALL

A great show with some pretty cool plot-wise surprises. It has pretty cool graphics and an average soundtrack. If you love-love hentai or semi-forced Hentai with some action scenes, go for it! You’ll not be dissapointed!
