Tuesday-tans: Opera-tan
Tuesday 8 May 2007 @ 10:41 pm | By Ivan 'Nahu' LozanoGreetings from Hiatus-land and welcome to Tuesday-tans! Its been already a couple of weeks since the last Tuesday-tan update but its back now and it should stay that way. Anyway, this week we have our first browser-tan, and all of you firefox lovers are probably already shaking your fists in anger. Yes, today we feature Opera-tan, anthropomorphization of the Opera browser which, as you probably guessed, is my browser of choice.
There’s not much known about Opera-tan, and what there is to know I don’t know it. It is seriously an obscure character from the depths of Japanese imageboards. What I can tell you are things you can guess from her outfit, she’s sophisticated, elegant and gentle. She also carries around a magic wand to store all your precious passwords and controlling floating browser windows, no doubt blocking all those nasty pop-ups.
That’s it for now, Firefox users may begin to post flames now, although your time will come soon enough. Enjoy the gallery!

Hell yeah!, Opera-tan over Firefox-ko any day :D
I never checked, but are there Safari & Camino tans? (they’re Mac OSX browsers btw)
Nah, no hate. It’s kind of like a meal: you eat the yucky stuff first, so you can end with the best-tasting and awesome food at the end. It’s a good thing you got rid of Opera-tan so quickly, now we can get to the heart of the meal.
Pyohohoho~
Cibba: Well of course! DDN is best seen with opera :D
Kikimaru: I think Ive seen a Safari-tan once, not camino-tans though. I’ll keep an eye out.
Geirskogul: At least we’re not associated with furry, you savages. :D
Thanks for adding tags to Firefox-ko and NT-tan according to my comments.
Still, Opera-tan doesn’t have the appropriate Browser tan tag. Please add that too.
I’m wondering about other non-browser program tan as well. So far, there’re Outlook-tan and MSN-tan but they’re obscure at best. Thunderbird-tan is a little bit more well-known. You also have the infamous Dr.Norton and Buster boy to write about (if you can find enough pictures of them that is.) Perhaps a column on Miss McAfee is also nice.
DTRY: I’m dropping the browser-tan tag, way too specific. And yes I do have enough pictures to write about all of them in advance.
Personally, I have installed both firefox AND opera and achieved nerdvana.
Im pretty sure nerdvana is still a little further down the line. But good job!
