Having played around 6 hours of it Sunday night. I can easily say that they took EVERY complaint about the first game, and fixed it in this game.

2 of the big things that stood out for me were the fact that drums now have solos. And when 'talking' parts come up in songs, they are much easier ranked (i've 100% give it away on vocals everytime i've played it, did the same for testify). Both of which are 'talk heavy' tracks.

The overall song list is MASSIVE, and the new 'challenges' are one of the coolest things i've ever seen. Our band last time we played was ranked 40th in some gamestop challenge, which is pretty impressive when you think about how many bands were out there playing that day.

In integrates other peoples bands into the career mode as well. Only during challenges, but it's still awesome. And i heard somewhere, that the game lets you know if another band takes over your score, so you can go back and try to beat it again.

The only thing we HAVEN'T touched yet is the character creator. If only cause i usually get carried away with that. But i'm sure we'll do that another day.

All in all, if you were a fan of the first game, then this one is a MUST BUY!
