Wonderful voice, cute, young, and Asian… And guess what, males? She just got divorced.
And so the fanboys rejoice.

… the divorce part sounds sad for me. I never liked the English version (just for the fact that i used to hear “Hikari” first, though, i admit that i prefer the lyrics of “Simple and clean”)
The funny thing is that she likes foreigners, she was married to one… in fact an assload of her songs are about the miscommunication between them
Well, she studied at NYU (New York University) reason why her english is so good. Living in New York can open you up in term of human relations since you can find just about every country of the world represented. NY is a “minority” state I would call it.
It is sad that things like that happen but truth be told we are still a long way from reaching good interracial understanding.
Still, she is very attractive, sings well, and can kick your a$$ at Tetris.

She spent high school in Japan, but divides half her life in America and half in Japan. She only went to Columbia for a year or two anyhow.
And she was married to Kiriya Kazuya, a Japanese director. I don’t know where everyone is getting their information from…
