Greetings. I’m UnknownWarrior33, the new guy. I want to show you all something. This picture gives me hope for the world:
Holy crossover, Batman! For those very unfamiliar with the comic industry, Spider-Man is a property of Marvel Comics, while Batman is a property of DC Comics. Marvel and DC are the two biggest publishers of super hero comics, and thus are just as competitive with each other as Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo. However, the above comic book cover is real, while the below video game cover is not:
Forgive my poor Photoshop skills; the point is, Master Chief and Jak would NEVER appear in a game together, let alone a Nintendo game. Similarly, Banjo won’t show up in the next Ratchet & Clank game and Samus won’t be a playable character in Halo 3. Unlike the Big 2 comic companies, who have a friendly rivalry and publish crossovers all the time, the Big 3 video game companies have a more bitter rivalry. All that does is increase animosity among Nintendo fans, Sony fans, and Microsoft fans.
Capitalism thrives on competition, but as the comic companies show us, competition does not have to breed contempt. Maybe if Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft become more friendly with each other, there their fans will follow suit. We can only hope; we want to be a video game community, after all, and you can’t have “community” without “unity”.
As a side note, I originally wanted to use a Superman/Spider-man crossover cover, but then I wouldn’t get to say “Holy (something), Batman!” which I’ve always wanted to say.

this is the quierest think ive ever heard of
