The fall anime season is already starting, and just before it comes in full force when October starts we’ll get you up to speed on what to expect. 48 new shows are coming this season, that’s a lot of shows and a lot of information, so to make it easier for you, dear reader, we’ve simplified how each show is previewed.

A one line description of each show should get the bullshit out of the lengthy studio descriptions and a ‘you might like it if you like’ section makes it easier to make your picks. To top it all, we’re protecting you from information overload and doing this in batches (no its not because I’m lazy). The first 8 shows previewed after the jump!

Penguin Musume Heart 2nd Club

One Line Description: Otaku girl becomes class president, slice of life hijinks happen in this second season.

You might like it if you like: Lucky Star, Genshiken, Meta anime.

Notes: Airing on Nico Nico Douga, something like the Japanese Youtube.

Battle Spirits: Shonen Toppa Bashin

One Line Description: Bandai makes new TCG, an anime gets made.

Mach Girl

One Line Description: Speed Racer spinoff starting a girl and her 3-wheeled bike.

Xamdou: Lost Memories

One Line Description: In a war-torn steampunk world a schoolboy transforms into a strange creature.

Hakushaku to Yosei

One Line Description: In 19th century England a fairy doctor and blue knight look for a legendary sword, a cat wears a tophat.

You might like it if you like: Shojo anime in general, aristocracy, cats wearing tophats.
Notes: Seriously, there’s a cat wearing a freaking tophat.

One Line Description: Two school misfits get in a love-hate affair, slice of life takes over.

You might like it if you like: Haruhi, School Rumble, Lovely Complex, Tsundere girls in general.

Notes: This has so much tsun tsun it sounds like a beehive.

Noramimi 2nd Season

One Line Description: Japanese corporate mascots live with families, hijinks occour.
