A year ago was Dark Diamond’s first year, a year ago most of you didn’t read us, a read ago we posted a bunch of cool stuff and no one was here to give a damn. So from now on on the first day of each month I’ll bring you a little roundup of what happened, a year ago.

October 2006, Next Gen was just around the corner, the future seemed promising and:

• We didn’t have Chocolate rain, but we had ‘tendo Luv!
• The bird flu was freaking people out but us geeks found out how much caffeine would kill us.
• We showed you a collection of cool gamer Halloween videos.
• 100 maids made me accept Harem anime was a valid genre.
• A shocking investigation in Japan revealed that people in America like anime!
• A really clever faux trailer made us wonder how cool an Evangelion Hollywood movie could be.
• Some maids totally rock out to a street band, no more, no less, yet awesome.
• We had lots of fun playing old NES games online with the vNes online emulator.
• Before we could even dream of finishing the fight, we found out “Halo used to be cool”.
• We took some lessons in German by finding out Mario is”just for gays”.
• I listened to Yamazaki number one! like a thousand times before the month ended. Hypnotic.

Well, now you know what you missed last year, while you were still browsing aimlessly without our divine light to guide you through the raging waters of the interweb.
