Again we get a clone of Pani Poni Dash with very few changing elements; a watered-down version in terms of story (if PPD had any. . .), a different drawing style, and more chalkboard comments, this time more appealing to the not so Hardcore (because only 80’s Gundam jokes make you awesome!). But don’t let the coincidences fool you that much! Zetsubou Sensei offers you some unique stuff that may be worth your while. Keep reading.

What’s better than listening to music on your MP3 player of choice when on the bus/on the train/at some place that makes you sit still? Playing music on a DS in a way that makes people look at you funny, probably moreso than using two styluses to beat a Japanese Taiko drum. Rhythm Tengoku Gold is the sequel to the 2006 cult hit (aptly named Rhythm Tengoku) for Gameboy Advance. Now that the second incarnation is surfacing in stores, we’re here to tell you whether or not it’s worth the 3990 yen asking price.

Birdy the Mighty DECODE (Tetsuwan Birdy DECODE) is a remake of an OVA from the nineties, which itself was a remake of a quickly-canned manga. Its newest incarnation is more than worth watching, and something I wholeheartedly recommend if it can keep the pace and mood the first two episodes have.

Guitar Hero On Tour is the latest in Activision’s part of the Guitar Hero franchise, and the one with the most potential for being a cheap cash-in. Fear not though, because it’s actually not entirely terrible!

TWEWY is a bold game that has a lot of things to say about the JRPG, and I for one hope that the industry listens. In one fell swoop, it has changed the possible topography of the genre by giving the player an unprecedented amount of choice. However, this isn’t the Morrowind-style sense of freedom that includes a large world and nonlinear storyline.

Lolita characters: check. Apathetic main character: check. Story with death as the main element: check, check, check. Bland ending: Cheeeeeeeeeeeekuuuuh!I’m starting to see a pattern. . .no wait, the pattern has been made years ago! A lot of things have been made around death in anime but. . .delivering letters from the dead? Hmmm, oh wait. . .wait. . .Lain had it first. But physical letters? Delivered by hand? That being the main plot of the story? A’ight, you can give it a shot. . .

Hello! I come from a time when wandering merchants lied, deceived, and even killed for their own profit. . .no wait, it’s not the present time, really! There’s wheat and… and… people and… Musicians, y’know? I know we have that now but… Hey! Does this time have neko-mimi? Kitsune-mimi?…Oh, right… Japan. Err… well… Ah, I got it! There are horses! I bet you don’t have horses anymore, right? What? you do?! Oh man, how to make you believe I come from the past? Hmm. . .sorry, you just have to believe me in this one, buddy, even though I’ll investigate more into it later. I think I’ll write a memo on my iPhone. . .

Penny Arcade’s creators, Tycho and Gabe, claim that nowadays they see PA as more of a franchise than a webcomic. Never has this been more apparent than in Hothead Games’ Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, a godsend to children of the ’90s that spent their days with point-and-click adventures and turn-based console RPGs. While it’s short, and the bosses are somewhat cheap, $20 is a perfectly fair asking price for PA’s first video game.

There is a time, in the middle of your anime life, when you (supposedly) know and fear the genres you once swore you’d never watch again but still you think to yourself the same thing: “I’m more mature right now, maybe I could give the XXXXX anime a chance, even if it’s categorized in one of the genres I hate. . .Harem Anime”. I pondered this some weeks ago and here I am. Still alive. With some ups but huge downs I review the series that caught me and my fascination for pink and long-haired girls. I swear…someday I’ll resist successfully.

Ok guys we’re going to try something different today. I watched Kite Liberator this afternoon and I just felt like it needed to be reviewed, so I created this one minute review of Kite Liberator. P.S. One minute is more of a guideline than a rule, actual review is 1:18 plus intro and outro. Transcript after the break.
